Stuff That Makes Me Mad, part 1a

Here is a short list of some things that piss me off:

Quantum chemistry
Shittiest thing during my whole studies. Chemistry students’ nightmare. Shrödinger’s equation, wave functions, perturbational and variational methods using one or many determinants and many more wonderful things. Impossible to catch for common people. Maybe it has even some useful applications, but I don’t think I’ll ever need this knowledge in the future. If so, I can ask for help my colleagues who specialize in it. But why the hell I have to learn this crap? Don’t think I’m gonna pass this quantum exam I had last week, no matter how long would I be preparing I’ll never learn it. If I fail the thing I’ll be regreting most is that I’ve studied so hard instead of going at the Anathema’s concert which was on the day before exam. Good that Anathema comes to my country often, so maybe next time I’ll see them live.


Polish politicians
There’s almost no week without any scandal. I wonder if any other countries’ politicians are so bribed. Proper amount of money can buy any statue. Besides bribes politicians take incredibly high salaries for just farting into stools and coming up with stupid ideas. There no such a sum of money they wouldn’t be able to waste and steal. Crappy thing is that their irresponsibility goes unpunished. They care only about their own asses, which is where they have average citizens and the national weal.
Before an election Poles hope: former government was so hopeless that it’s impossible that next will be worse. But it turnes out to be possible. Each new government has more and more stupid ideas how to waste tax-payer’s money. No surprise that we are dissapointed and elections have a poor attendance.
Maybe not all politicians are so, but it’s extremely hard to find any honest.


Porno-ads on IRC
“Free pics and movies” “Go to see Zena” “Wanna see naked girlz double click here” – tons of such messages I’m getting while I’m on IRC. It doesn’t come to all these stupid spammers that if I wanted to see a naked girl would get undressed and look into a mirror. Also polite requests to fuck off don’t help. The only way to deal with ‘em is to ignore ‘em, so my ignore list has grown lately, but there constantly appear new idiots.

Smokers
I don’t care if they are damaging their health, thay should be aware of it. But why the hell they should damage mine? Bus stops, trains, cafes, restaurants are full of these smoky engines. Most of them seem astonished when somebody is asking them to move away. Are they too dumb to get that their stinking fumes can bother other people? But the most pitiful are kids hardly out of long-clothes who think that with cigarrete they’re looking cool (suppose they fall into angst ridden teens category, which Mosher had described in his STMMM)


All for now but not all in general. Like every Pole I like to complain, so the list is to grow larger sometime.
